Went and bought the Jane Norman Cut Out Peplum Dress thanks to the help of one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Sara Zucker.
It’s absolutely perfect. It fits like a dream, the fabric is thick and sturdy, and my gypsy sugar skull is displayed with such pride. I’m in love.
Amazing day off so far. Ran all of my errands. My other ($8) AMAZING new backpack arrived at JCpenney for me to pick up. I LOVE IT. Now I’m waiting on my chinese food to get here :)
TREAT YO SELF.
+ Read more this year! Shoot for 10 books, ones that will make you think, laugh, cry and smile.
+ Speaking of smiles, do more of it. Positive thinking and surrounding yourself with people that will always make you do so.
+ Gym-keep on trucking! So many people making the resolution to lose weight, but I don’t want you to think of it like that, I want you to think of it as building a healthier life style so that you can live longer and make many more resolutions of progress in the future. You’ve been going 4-6 times a week since you’ve signed up! Before you know it, you’ll be toned and have hit that goal you set for yourself and your next step will be to maintain and inspire.
+ Friendships, try to rekindle those that are important to you which may have dwindled this past year and there is always room for new ones!
+ Less spending more crafting. Save that money and create things! Work on your sewing, knitting and designing skills. You’ll not only save money for bigger and better things but you’ll have pieces of your own that you’ll be so proud and happy to wear knowing that every thought and stitch that went into it was all you!
+ Adventure more often. We get stuck in day to day routines, especially with a full time job. Take some time, even just on one of your days off and go somewhere. You can turn any trip into an adventure, even if it’s just to a park or Target. Picnics, nature walks, people-watching, rolling around in snow/leaves/sand…any of that for even just a day can make you feel more alive than ever.
+ Rember that Nikon D70s you have? USE IT! I want to start taking more pictures. I was so into photography a few years ago and I have a really nice camera, I need to put it to use. I want to start bringing it everywhere I go. New York on Jan. 20th with Tom is going to be the first of many photo adventures.
+ Keep blogging. Time to go forth and make that fashion blog that people have been encouraging you to do. This will be fun and it’ll also combine with the above resolution.
+Spread love and kindness. Everyone around you is dealing with something in their lives. Spread your love and kindness to all, even those who can’t put their current troubles behind them in order to give another stranger a smile. It could change someone’s entire day. I’ve done this many of times and when people let me know that I’ve done so, it’s the best feeling in the world.
I wish you all a safe and happy new year, see you guys in 2012 :)
Body Challenge 2010-2011
These photos (click them to see the bigger version) take place over the period of August 2010-December 2011.
I’ve started and stopped and started and stopped during the course of the past year and a half.
Seeing this photos, being in love with my new gym and the amazing feeling i get during and after working out, I am so proud of myself and so happy with who I am becoming.
I’m still me, I’m just healthier, happier and more excited to live than ever.
I started off in August 2010 weighing 135, January 2011 I weighed 130 and I am currently down to 121.
My goal weight has been 115 for many years and I think I’m finally going to reach it. However, I no longer am looking at the number as much as how my body looks and feels. I want to tone up, lose the body fat and replace it with healthy and strong muscles.
There is no starvation, just healthy eating and lots of sweat. I also have not and never plan on losing my curves, they were just bit tight, toned and more defined than ever.
I’m am so proud of myself.
